It's the same with genealogy research, find the dates of birth and death and other findings are easier to rule in/out. If you noticed the Census reports of James Lee Old, (b.1848) & Annie G. Andrews, (b.July1852) you can find their birth year. Now, looking carefully at the 1900 U.S. Census, you can find interesting facts. By 1900 (they were married in 1873) James Lee Old has died, Annie G. is listed as "wd" a widow! I enlarged a portion of this 1900 Census and you can see it clearly. Now we skip one small square and we see the numbers 5 and 4. Annie G. Old had FIVE children and only FOUR that lived! One of those children that survived was our grandpa, James Lee Old (b. 11Aug1892) We are indeed a fortunate family. (I've talked with Uncle Dale and he believes too that publishing grandpa's death certificate will not cause any problems in our family. Please let me know ... my concerns are to NEVER hurt anyone's feelings on these web pages. email@example.com) The death certificate of grandpa's shows clearly his parents, James L. Old and Annie G. Old. It also shows how important antibiotics are in our lives, if Grandpa could of been treated with them, he might of lived. Also see grandma's signature.
Now with this information I'll "publish" documents that may belong to Mary Lee/James Old marriage.
